The autumn leaves now tinted to the shades of red and gold
Heralds of the winter months, the fortune tellers twisting turning cards
Which blowing in the wind, foretell the coming winters chill
The lonely distant sound of trumpets of the coming cold
Reminding us of Bruegel and his winter scenes of oldAnd yet, as natures palette changes colour once again
Perchance we see the silver of the misty falling rain
Following in the footsteps of the softly falling snow
Reminding us of winters from a time of long agoFor in this life we all should stop, if only for a while
Just try to pause, before you climb across October's style
At night when gazing up in wonder at a twinkling star
Reflect on how your life is on this planet where we areOctober, irrespective as it ushers in the Fall
In southern climes it's certainly not like that at all
Tis the forerunner of lovely summer days
Its coastlines bringing happiness to all in many ways
For here they all enjoy Gods gift, October in the sun
Where ever you may live your life, enjoy it everyone
