Year - 1950's. Supplies for the lightship. - Ref number - 26
Picture shows the motor boat from the Trinity House ship "MERMAID" taking provisions to thee Lightship "CORTON" which was stationed off the Corton Sandbank.
Year - 1950's. Lifeboat winchman. - Ref number - 27

Photo shows Ted Dyble at the winch which haules up the "LOUISE STEPENS" from the rover. You can see part of this winch at the Lifeboat shop.
Year - March 20th. 1953. M.V.BRIARDENE. - Ref number - 29
The "BRIARDENE" was in a collision with the s/s"ROINE" from Helsinfors and the "ROINE"sank and one woman was drowned.The Gorleston Lifeboat "LOUISE STEPHENS" rescued 13 crew. The "BRIARDENE" from Sunderland flooded to her gunwale while undergoing repairs at Gt.Yarmouth.
Year - 1911. Death of famous Gorleston Coxswain. - Ref number - 30
The death of Edward "Laddie" Woods who during 37 years of lifeboat work at Gorleston,for 21 years of which he held the position of Coxswain,assisted to save 1,000 lives.
