This book is a culmination of years of work carried out by the 'Essex Rooms'.

The contributors to the book have been clients, one who has now sadly passed away and ex-workers of the Essex Rooms who have spoken about their memories.

Every effort has been made to keep as close as possible to the original recordings but for the sake of continuity and clarity we have omitted repetitions and unclear passages from our extracts.
