This site is dedicated to helping the people of Norfolk to have easy access to as much of their heritage as we can manage to provide.
As our name suggests, Norfolk ancestors is principally concerned with the history of people, organisations and places in Norfolk. We would welcome any material donations from anyone who can assist us in sharing history which might otherwise have gone unnoticed or forgotten. We hope you enjoy the material we have managed to research and present to you so far.
To re-state, we would welcome your input and help to compile this history from anyone who feels they would like to. It would be appreciated. Just use the Contact links.
We have initiated an innovative idea of collecting as many ancestral family names as possible in the hope there will be some 'crossing over' of information. Support has been quite good and the contributions, the more chance there is that someone will benefit. Please give it a try.
We would also like to encourage anyone who would like to share their Life Story with us to contact us by email. As a gift for an elderly person why not contact us to have their photographs scanned and enlarged to A4 size and laid out in booklet form
At the present time we are also endeavouring to build an online resource centre in Reminiscence Work for Carer’s who work with elderly residents in Care Homes in Norfolk. This is now very much recognized as a valuable activity in caring for the elderly and promotes communication and social interaction. This will be an ongoing project and your views and ideas would be appreciated to enable us to offer quality pictures/triggers relevant for reminiscence sessions.
Please feel free to visit our 'sister' Site 'Reminiscence Resources' which is even more focussed on the subject. Click here to visit this Site
